Telling Cowboy Love Stories

As a kid I dreamed of traveling the world and photographing working ranches. Along the way of chasing that dream, I discovered I also had a passion for capturing couples and telling their love stories…and the combination of the two set my soul on fire.

That dream brought me to where I am today, telling the love stories for ranch couples all over the country. Generations from now, not only will families have these images to cherish...they will be able to share with the world the true love stories behind what authentic ranchlife was in this era.

The film (above) is a glimpse into my life. And if you liked it you'll enjoy this one too...it has ranch branding scenes AND running horses.

The LONG VERSION

When I was a little girl my celebrity crushes were Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck. I wrote in my diary that I wanted to be Tim Cox with a camera…the next David R Stoeklein. I was inspired by paintings and photographs that stirred something deep inside and I knew I wanted to grow up to create ranch lifestyle images that gave others the same feelings of awe and inspiration that I had experienced.

My childhood dreams grew and I hoped that maybe, someday, I could travel the world photographing the cowboy and ranch lifestyle. With that seeming un-reachable dream in mind, I saved and saved from my first job in high school as a veterinarian technician and bought my first professional camera.

In 2011 I married the tall dark and handsome cowboy who'd won my heart and swept me off my feet. It was then that I officially launched my business and began pursuing my dreams. And in 2013 we became the parents of little miss Paisley Rae.

While I had begun by photographing many genre's and styles, along the way, I discovered that I got the same amount of joy out of photographing couples and weddings as I did documenting the cowboy-lifestyle. And the combination of the two set my soul on fire. At the end of my 4th year in business I made the decision to narrow my niche so as to focus primarily on working with couples who are planning ranch, country or rustic style engagements and weddings.

I have now been far and wide across the United States working with couples who are passionate about blending their love story with documenting their lifestyle in an authentic, meaningful and timeless way. And I LOVE WHAT I DO!

As the granddaughter, daughter and wife of cowboys I know first hand that “cowboy” doesn’t have to be “corny”, manicured nails do exist in the branding pen, your horse has a nice hip and we want to show it, cowboy hats aren’t props, barn weddings can be classy and nothing is sweeter than the glisten in your tough-as-nails daddy’s eyes when see’s his little cowgirl in her wedding dress.
